Xbox 360 Controller Driver Not Installing Windows 7 Already Installed On Mac
I just receive a wireless receiver I purchased off of Newegg, I'll post the link later in my post, but I plugged it into my computer and the light on the receive glows green. I grabbed one of my wireless controllers and attempted to sync it with the receiver, and the receiver will finish syncing and stay solid green, while my controller flashes green on all of the Home Button Player Lights. I read up on it and I know that I need to update the drivers manually because it is an off brand device and so I tried this, went to Xbox Peripherals, selected the wireless receiver driver from 2015 and press install. To my dismay the installation failed, so I tried the 2009 version and that also failed. I'm kind of stuck now since the CD the receiver came with won't allow me to install to Windows 10. Have any of you encountered a solution for this?

EDIT: I tested on another computer with an 8.1 OS and it worked just fine, the drivers installed with no problem. So just Windows 10 is screwing it up, unless it has something to do with Motionin Joy or SCP Drivers I installed to use a PS3 controller?
EDIT 2: I tested on Windows 7 computer and it also worked. IDK if my computer isn't allowing me to add the microsoft drivers to my receiver, or that I don't have permission for it, which I should have with the only profile and admin rights. please help

I bought an Xbox one controller for my PC, and it refuses to work at all. It will not install device drivers, when I plug it in it appears as 'controller' in my device manager, and it doesn't work in games at all.
